This spring, Well WaterBoy Products will install a first-of-its-kind high-volume community hand water pump. Recently, a church in northern California contacted us for its congregation’s emergency water needs. They chose the WaterBuck Pump because of its ability to pump volumes of water under human power. The church had an 8” well drilled specifically for this pump. For their application ― a static water level of 38’ with a flow rate of 50+ gallons per minute ― the WaterBuck will be designed to pump 50 GPM at peak human performance with a 6” pump cylinder. The water delivery port and drop pipe will be 4”. This type of community hand pump will be the first of its kind, delivering 1.95 gallons of water per cycle, making it a true community hand pump. Installation is scheduled for spring of 2016.
