The story of Gerrard began on 28th November 1998 when he was brought in as a substitute in the Premier League clash against Blackburn Rovers. Though he struggled to make his impact due to nervousness, the legend began on that very day. He made several substitute appearances on his debut season, but he failed to make any big impact. However, within two years he became a first team regular playing alongside Jamie Redknapp.
