The Brazilian's love for football has taken him to three continents where he played for many of the League there.He started his career with a local Brazilian Club named Ituano Fc and then arrived at Premier League in Middlesbrough where he was fondly called by his fans as "The Little Fella".He then made his move to La Liga playing for Atletico where he spent 5 years and scored 14 goals during his stay ,after wgich he again returned to his former Premier League club before heading Down Under to play for Sydney FC.In 2010 he again returned to his club Ituano where it all started but this time as Player-president.
