Sixers fans will need League Pass this season

The NBA schedule was released on Wednesday, and apparently the league doesn't think that there is much national demand to see the Sixers.

The boys from Philadelphia are one of three teams that do not have a single nationally televised game on the schedule for the 2015-16 NBA season. No ESPN for the Sixers. No TNT, no ABC, and no NBATV. Thus, Sixers fans outside of the Greater Philadelphia Area will need to invest in NBA League Pass if they want to see their hometown team play.

Coming off of a 18-64 campaign, the Sixes are expected to struggle for a third consecutive season. Their lack of a single nationally televised game is somewhat surprising however, if only because one would think that Rookie of the Year candidate Jahlil Okafor would draw some interest on the national level. Coming off of a National Title in his lone season at Duke, many expect Okafor to develop into the league's next premier low-post player.

The other two teams without a nationally televised game are the Detroit Pistons and Denver Nuggets.

The Sixers open up their season on October 28 against the Celtics in Boston, and will face the Jazz two nights later in their home opener.

The team's complete schedule can be seen here.
