17-year-old Youngster Dies of Cancer a day after meeting his idol - Eminem

When someones enters the list of people hated by Eminem, he would probably crush them off using his ultrafast raps. But inside the curious heart of Eminem, there is a lot of will to do good deeds as well. Rapping at a pace that not many can match, Eminem has billions of fans around the world. Gage Garmo was one such fan.

 

Gage Garmo had been fighting bone cancer for more than three years and had only a few days left in him. He was told by his doctors that he had not more than a week to live. He had always dreamed about the prospect of meeting his favourite rapper and his family and friends decided to somehow convince the Rap God to meet Gage before he is taken away by the Almighty.

 

 

They started #GetGageGarmoToMeetEminem Campaign in twitter and it became viral atleast within Michigan - The home of the 17-year-old Gage and Eminem.

 

The campaign was supported by Rainbow Connection, an organisation that is actively involved in realizing the dreams of Michigan Children with terminal ill-ness. The online campaign and the efforts of Rainbow Connection bore fruit as the rapping sensation decided to meet Gage Garmo.

 

Eminem met Gage Garmo at the 17-year-old's home and spent more than two hours with him. He also reached out to his family and friends. Gage Garmo unfortunately passed away the very next day and will certainly Rest In Peace having met his idol the previous day. RIP Gage Garmo.
